Clinical evaluations, test orders, interpreted reports, and recommendations provided through Continuum’s clinical service are distinct from general website content and are subject to the applicable service terms and clinical consent.
Not for emergencies
This service is not an emergency service and is not continuously monitored for urgent medical needs. If you believe you have a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate medical care.
Eligibility and online evaluation
The initial eligibility screen determines whether you can continue the evaluation; it does not guarantee an approved test order. Complete and accurate answers to the clinical questionnaire are important. Final eligibility and authorization depend on the applicable clinical protocols and your circumstances. Additional evaluation or a different type of testing may be needed.
Home sleep testing has limitations
Home sleep testing measures selected signals during sleep. The signals recorded and reported measurements depend on the device and testing option. It does not provide every measurement available during an attended laboratory sleep study and is not intended to evaluate every sleep disorder.
A negative result does not always rule out sleep apnea. Recordings can be inconclusive or technically inadequate, and estimated severity may differ between nights or testing methods. Discuss persistent symptoms or concerns with a qualified clinician; further evaluation, including an in-lab study, may be appropriate. Diagnosis and treatment outcomes vary, and a recording may not be technically successful.
Included recording nights and reporting
Core and Premier include up to three recording nights for one package price. Completing fewer nights does not change that price. Platinum includes one recording night of home polysomnography (PSG). The usefulness of each recording depends on correct device use and data quality. Included recording nights do not guarantee three technically adequate studies. Follow the instructions supplied with your test. Core and Premier include physician interpretation of the most complete night.
Devices and regulatory descriptions
Any FDA clearance statement applies to the specific device and its cleared intended use. It does not constitute FDA endorsement of Continuum’s website, every service, or every claim. Device specifications and limitations should be reviewed for the testing option selected.
Commercial drivers and DOT examinations
A sleep study report may inform a DOT medical examination. The certified medical examiner determines medical qualification and whether additional information is needed. Purchasing or completing a test does not guarantee a medical certificate or employment clearance.
Pricing, shipping, and insurance
Continuum’s direct-to-consumer home sleep testing is self-pay. We do not accept insurance at this time. Standard delivery of the test kit is included in the displayed price. Review the selected package and total charge before checkout.
Privacy and patient accounts
Your patient account provides access to your own saved questionnaire, orders, and available reports. Privacy practices, health-information handling, and record retention are explained in the Privacy Policy and applicable Notice of Privacy Practices.
